When you add a trip to Seatfrog, we'll display the departure time, correct for the timezone settings on your handset. If you add a trip to your account and then travel to another country, with a different timezone, the departure time will then display correctly for that region.
When using the Train Search tool to add a trip, the departure times in the search results are fixed and will not be affected by a change of timezone.
For example, if you added the 08:30 Kings Cross - Newcastle, to your Seatfrog account and then went to visit France, the app would display the departure time as 09:30, because France, is an hour ahead. Once you're back in the UK, or change the timezone settings on your handset the departure time will be displayed correctly.
If you're in doubt about the trip you have added, please check the email confirmation we sent when you added the trip to your Seatfrog account. Every time you add a trip to your account, we automatically send out an email confirming the trip you have added including the departure and arrival time, as well as the auction start and end times. These times are fixed and will not change even if you are travelling.
There are times when our rail partner's scheduled departure times need to be c due to maintenance/timetable changes. While the departure times can shift by only a few minutes, the train with a new departure time is a different service and will not necessarily be listed on Seatfrog. We recommend that you only place a bid in a Seatfrog auction when the departure time matches your ticket departure exactly. Our upgrades are only valid on the specified journey and cannot be transferred to a different service.
For example, if your rail ticket says the departure is at 13:30, but Seatfrog have a departure listed as 13:40, not 13:30, your upgrade would not be valid.
