If you're travelling with London Northwestern Railway (LNR) or West Midlands Railway (WMR) on Friday 31 July or Saturday 1 August, your journey may be affected by planned industrial action.
A reduced timetable will be in place across both days, with some routes not running at all. Services that do run are expected to be much busier than usual, so we recommend checking your journey before travelling.

When is the disruption?
Industrial action is taking place on:

- Saturday 1 August 2026
On Friday, services will finish much earlier than normal, with many trains ending by around 7pm.
On Saturday, services will start later than usual and operate to a reduced timetable throughout the day.
Which routes are affected?
A reduced service will operate across the London Northwestern Railway and West Midlands Railway network.
Some routes will continue to run with a limited timetable, while others won't operate at all during the disruption.
As services and timetables may change, please check directly with your train operator before you travel.
Can I travel another day?
If your plans are flexible, you may wish to travel on a different day to avoid disruption.
Some operators may also allow customers with affected tickets to travel on an alternative date or service. Please check with your train operator for the arrangements that apply to your journey.
What if I don't want to travel?
If your train is cancelled or you decide not to travel because of the disruption, you may be entitled to a refund in line with your train operator's policy.
