Product: Seatfrog Upgrade
Applies to: First Class, & Standard Premium upgrade auctions purchased through the Seatfrog app
Does not apply to: Superfare, Secret Fare, Rail Tickets or TrainSwap
What is the Booking fee?
When you upgrade with Seatfrog, you'll see a Booking fee added to the price. It's a £3 fee for arranging your upgrade with the train operator, charged per passenger upgrade.
The Booking fee only applies to upgrades — we don't charge it on any other Seatfrog product or service.
If you're bidding in an auction, you'll only pay the Booking fee if you win — there's no charge if your bid doesn't succeed.
If you're using Buy Upgrade Now, the Booking fee is included in the price you're shown before you buy.
Will I always see the fee shown separately?
We're currently updating how the Booking fee is displayed in the app. While this rolls out, some customers will see the fee included in the upgrade price straight away, and others will see it added as a separate line when they confirm.
Either way, you'll always see the full total — including the fee — before you confirm your purchase or bid. This is a temporary change, and everyone will see the same pricing display from 1 October.
