Auction status: Opening soon
If you see “Opening soon” on an auction, it means the auction hasn’t started yet but is scheduled to open shortly.
What does “Opening soon” mean?
Auctions typically open between 48 and 24 hours before the train departs from its original station.
While an auction is marked as Opening soon:
the trip card will show the expected opening date, and
you can keep track of the auction’s progress at a glance.
In the example shown, the auction hasn’t opened yet and is expected to go live on 3 February.
Can I place a bid before the auction opens?
Yes. When an auction is Opening soon:
you can place a bid in advance, and
your bid will be counted automatically once the auction goes live.
If you change your mind before the auction opens, you can retract your bid with no charge.
Where can I see more details?
Tapping the trip card will show:
the auction status,
the expected opening time, and
any bids you’ve placed.
Once the auction opens, you’ll be able to follow it live and see how your bid compares.
