Why can’t I add my trip?
If you’re unable to add your trip in the Seatfrog app, it usually means upgrades are not currently available for your travel date or service.
Common reasons you can’t add your trip
You may not be able to add your train if:
Upgrade availability has not yet been released for your travel date.
The train operator has not provided upgrades for that service.
No First Class seats are available for upgrade.
The auction has already closed.
If your trip does not appear in the app, we’re unable to manually add it.
Check upgrade release dates
Upgrade availability depends on the train operator and how far in advance services have been released.
Refer to the table below to see how far ahead upgrades are currently available for each operator.

No upgrades showing? Set a reminder
If you see a message in the app like “No upgrades yet — you’re a bit early”, you can choose to be notified when upgrades become available.
- Tap Get upgrade alerts
- You’ll be added to the list for that journey
- We’ll notify you as soon as upgrades open — no need to keep checking
You’ll then see a confirmation message like “You’re on the list”.
