When does bidding start and end?
Auction start and end times vary by train service.
To see when your auction opens and closes:
Add your trip in the Seatfrog app.
Open the auction screen.
Check the countdown timer shown in the app.
The app always displays the most up-to-date timing for your specific train.
Auctions usually close around 30 minutes before the train departs from its starting station, unless they close earlier.
Do I need to wait for the auction to go live?
No.
You can place a bid as soon as the auction becomes available in the app.
If the auction has not opened yet, you can set a pre-bid in advance.
When the auction goes live:
Your pre-bid will automatically enter the auction.
Seatfrog will bid on your behalf in small increments.
Bidding will continue automatically up to your maximum amount.
You do not need to manually place a bid once the auction opens.
When does bidding end?
Bidding ends when:
The auction countdown reaches zero, or
All available upgrades are sold, or
Upgrades are purchased instantly using the Upgrade Now option.
Once the auction closes, no further bids can be placed.
