Seatfrog welcomes parents travelling with kids.
We have a single price for all upgrades.
Children under the age of 5 can travel and upgrade free of charge, so you don’t need to buy an upgrade for them. This means they won’t have a reservation and will need to sit on your knee if the train is busy. If you want your child to have their own reservation, you’ll need to bid or buy an upgrade for them.
Children over 5 will need an existing train ticket to be eligible for an upgrade. You need to buy an upgrade for children aged 5 and upwards.
Refer to the National Conditions of Travel for more information (it’s in section 6.3, and we wish we could link directly to it!)
Seatfrog upgrades are not necessarily allocated together so you may be upgraded separately.
If you are able to find unreserved spaces that are together and not occupied, you are welcome to relocate to sit with all upgraded members of your party. We just ask that you let the train manager know you have moved, so your original reservations can be made available to other passengers on your train.
People under 18 years of age
People under 18 are ineligible to bid on an upgrade themselves but an adult travelling with them may make a bid or purchase on their behalf.
