Supported ticket types
We currently support upgrades on Standard Class ticket types on selected services with Transport for Wales.
How do I buy an eligible ticket?
Tickets can be purchased in the Seatfrog app, from Transport for Wales or any third party retailer. Seatfrog upgrades are only valid on the service shown in the specific auction. If you have a flexible ticket, please note that the upgrade is only valid on the named service and cannot be changed or cancelled if you chose to travel at a different time.
What is included in my First Class upgrade?
First Class travel includes:
- Access to our First Class carriage
- Spacious seating
- More leg room
- Snacks and refreshments
- Access to an exclusive chef’s menu
Accessibility & passenger assistance
As Seatfrog provides last-minute upgrades, we cannot always guarantee accessible seating in First Class coaches. If you require assistance due to a disability, need a wheelchair space, or have limited mobility, please contact the Transport for Wales Passenger Assist team to check accessibility availability before entering a Seatfrog auction.
If you win an upgrade and require assistance, please inform Transport for Wales staff on the platform upon arrival. Show your original ticket along with the upgrade ticket on the Seatfrog app, and they’ll guide you through your journey.
How to Book Assistance
We want to make travelling as comfortable as possible. The Passenger Assist service is designed for anyone needing additional support. Booking in advance helps ensure you have the assistance you need, but is here to help even at short notice.
- Book Assistance Form: Simply provide a few details, and Transport For Wales will handle your assistance request.
- Passenger Assist Team: 03330 050 501 (Open 24/7, excluding 25 and 26 December)
- Next Generation Text: Call via text relay at 18001 03330 050 501 (Open 24/7, excluding 25 and 26 December)
We encourage you to book assistance at least 2 hours before your journey. If you prefer to “turn up and go,” the team will still be there to assist you, though there may be a short wait while arrangements are made.
