Routes

As Seatfrog is a last-minute upgrade service, availability of upgrades on your service are confirmed closer to your date of departure.

Seatfrog upgrades with LNER are currently available on selected services, Monday to Sunday. 

Services are selected based on two factors: 

1. Availability i.e. if there are empty First Class seats available throughout the duration of the entire service.

2. Operational factors. We are currently operating on a selected number of services with more being added every week! Which ticket types are eligible for a Seatfrog upgrade with LNER?

Seatfrog upgrades are available on selected LNER routes and services for the following ticket types:

  • Standard Advance

  • 70min Flex

  • Standard Off-Peak

  • Standard Super Off-Peak

  • Standard Anytime

  • Season Tickets

Note: LNER Family Single tickets are not permitted for upgrade.

While some of these ticket types offer flexibility to travel on a different service, Seatfrog upgrades are only valid for the specific train shown on your upgrade confirmation.

Where available, you can enjoy luxurious First Class lounges with your First Class LNER upgrade in Edinburgh Waverley, Berwick-upon-Tweed, Darlington, Newcastle, Leeds, Wakefield Westgate, York, Doncaster and London King’s Cross**.
