Missed connection with Eurostar and your Seatfrog upgrade
What happens if I miss my upgraded train due to a delayed Eurostar connection?
If your Eurostar is delayed and you miss your onward UK train where you purchased a Seatfrog upgrade, the outcome depends on train operator disruption policies, not Seatfrog alone.
Can I transfer my Seatfrog upgrade to another train?
No.
Seatfrog upgrades are fixed to a specific train, date, and departure time and cannot be transferred, changed, or reissued to a different service.
Can I still travel on the next train?
Possibly — if your Eurostar is delayed:
- Eurostar staff may provide a disruption confirmation
- This may allow you to take the next available connecting train
- If there is space in First Class, you may be allowed to sit in First Class
👉 This is not guaranteed
👉 This is decided by station staff and train operators on the day
👉 Seatfrog cannot arrange or confirm this
Important to understand
- Seatfrog cannot move your upgrade to another train
- However, during disruption, train operators may make exceptions at their discretion
- These exceptions are outside of Seatfrog’s control
Can I get a refund if I miss my train?
If the delay was caused by Eurostar:
- Your Seatfrog upgrade remains non-refundable under Seatfrog policy
- You should contact Eurostar directly to request compensation
This is because:
- Eurostar caused the delay
- Your booked UK train and upgrade were valid
🧾 What you’ll need to claim from Eurostar
- Disruption confirmation from Eurostar
- Your booking reference
- Proof of your Seatfrog upgrade purchase
