Delay Repay: my train was delayed, can I claim compensation for my upgrade?
Yes.
Seatfrog upgrades are eligible for compensation through the rail operator’s Delay Repay scheme.
Seatfrog does not process Delay Repay claims.
How Delay Repay works
Delay Repay is managed by each rail operator.
If your train is delayed, you may be eligible for compensation depending on the length of the delay and the operator’s policy.
Claims must be submitted directly to the rail operator.
How to submit a claim
Submit your Delay Repay claim to the rail operator you travelled with.
You will need:
Your original rail ticket
Your Seatfrog upgrade & receipt
Select the Delay Repay option on the rail operator’s website and follow their instructions.

Submit your claim directly to your train company:
- Avanti West Coast
- CrossCountry
- EMR
- Grand Central
- Greater Anglia
- GWR
- LNER (select the delay repay radio button)
- TransPennine Express
- Transport for Wales
Important
Seatfrog does not assess or approve Delay Repay claims.
Compensation decisions are made by the rail operator.
Platform fees are non-refundable.
Delay Repay applies to delays caused by the rail network only.
